Hibernian secured the Scottish Women's Premier League title despite losing 2-0 to Hearts on the final day of the campaign. Eva Olid's side could have won the title by avoiding defeat at Meadowbank but Rangers' heavy loss at Glasgow City meant the overnight leaders finished with a two-point winning advantage. This is a first trophy as Hearts boss for Olid in her final match in charge, with the Spaniard moving on this summer. Georgia Timms went close from a narrow angle as Hearts threatened in the opening minutes. Hibs led through Eilidh Adams' spot-kick after Danique Ypema was penalised for barging over Rosie Livingstone and Carly Girasoli turned in an own goal from Tegan Bowie's cross. In between the first-half goals, Girasoli claimed unsuccessfully for a penalty following Adams' challenge. After the break, Carly Johns and Jessica Husband could not get the better of Hibs goalkeeper Noa Schumacher. By half-time at Petershill, Rangers were three down to Glasgow City and City would score three more in the second period. And so the trophy stays in Scotland's capital as it passes from Hibs to Hearts, who were promoted to the top flight in 2019.
