Hibernian's high-flying start to the season was halted by a stunning Ben Brannan volley as Kilmarnock earned a 2-2 draw. A corner was headed away but only as far as Brannan, who volleyed an arcing shot brilliantly over the keeper and into the corner from 25 yards.

Kilmarnock's youngsters, including Brannan, David Watson, and Ethan Brown, stood out. Brown was particularly impressive on his debut, keeping Kieron Bowie relatively quiet. Marcus Dackers was also superb up top, setting up the first goal and being a general nuisance with his hold-up play.
