Hibernian FC is set to say goodbye to Eddie May, who will leave the club at the end of June 2026 after an impressive 12-year tenure. May has been a significant figure at Hibernian since his playing days in the late 1980s, where he made over 100 appearances. He returned to the club in 2014, taking on various coaching roles within the Hibernian FC Academy and First Team. His contributions have been pivotal in developing young talent and supporting the first team’s success.
During his time at Hibernian, Eddie May stepped in as Caretaker Manager on two occasions, achieving a commendable record of three wins from five matches. His return to the club as part of David Gray's coaching staff in June 2024 marked a new chapter, where he helped guide Hibernian to a third-place finish in the 2024/2025 season, followed by a fifth-place finish the subsequent year, securing back-to-back European qualifications for the first time in over 50 years.
