Hibernian has secured the future of highly rated young midfielder Jacob MacIntyre by signing him to a new three-year contract that extends his stay at Easter Road until the summer of 2029. MacIntyre, who has been with Hibernian since the age of six, made his first-team debut in March 2024 and has already accumulated 64 appearances in senior football. His development has been bolstered by successful loan spells with Kelty Hearts and Arbroath, where he showcased his talent and potential. During the 2024/25 season, he played 27 matches for Kelty Hearts, scoring three goals and contributing to the team's sixth-place finish in Scottish League One. In the following season, he joined Arbroath in the Scottish Championship, where he made 36 appearances, netting three goals and providing three assists.
